The fountain was designed by Louis Visconti (who also created Napoleon Bonaparte's monumental
tomb in Les Invalides in Paris, and many more public sculptures all over France). It depicts the
three daughters of Zeus, Aglaia (Splendour), Euphrosyne (Mirth) and Thalia (Good Cheer).
